So we have finally made it to NZ.. Another 10hr flight then a hop on 1hr 20min to Christchurch in the South Island.. Christchurch is beautiful, it is called the Garden City and there is no mistaking why.. The landscape and the colours are fantastic, very English plus it has the lovely River Avon running through it.. Put ours to shame!.. Weather is not so warm than the north island, but shorts and flip flops are still the main clothing option!! (Sorry had to put that in seeing as I heard the weather has got colder at home!)
We managed to stay awake just until 8pm (I was nearly falling asleep in the resturant, before we got to be)d.. Both hotels we have had so far have upgraded us, in the Heritage's case we had a suite in possibly the grandest hotel building I have stayed in.. bedroom was on a mezzanne floor (which Matt was very excited about!)... Unfortunately no flight upgrade.. I asked eachtime but no no... Will keep trying!
Campervan is up next.. Hooray!!
